Reception have started their new topic of ‘Space and the night time’. We used our imagination to blast off into space and saw super stars, amazing planets and magnificent meteor showers! We learnt about planet Earth using the story of Here We Are  by Oliver Jeffers. We then learnt about the job of an astronaut using the book Look Up! We have been enjoying visiting our space station role play area and wrote a list of what we might take to space. We also used chalk and pastels to create night sky pictures. In Maths we have been investigating length and height and have moved on to learning about the numbers 9 and 10. In PSED, we have been using our listening skills to complete games and have been thinking about the importance of showing whole body listening. Finally, this week we have started our swimming lessons! It was great fun!
