This week the children were introduced to Amanda Gorman, as we are celebrating Black History Month. They were introduced to all the amazing experiences and work she has been a part of.  Amanda Gorman is an American poet and activist, she was the first person to be named National Youth Poet Laurete. Specifically, we have thoroughly enjoyed reading her book called 'Change Sings' and have had interesting discussions about this poem. Not only this, the children learnt that she became the youngest inaugural poet during President Joe Biden's swearing -in ceremony. They were completely blown away by her poem, as they watched her deliver it.
