Shell Structures, Fantasy Story Writing and Fractions
This week Year 3 have been working very hard to design and create shell-structures in their design and technology lessons. After half-term, they will make sandwiches to keep inside them. They have designed their structures carefully to ensure they contain and protect their sandwiches as well as present them attractively. It has been great to see them working so creatively and problem-solving during the making process to adjust their designs if needed. To continue the creative theme, they have also been writing their own fantasy stories based on a fantasy land map they created. The children have also been working very hard in their maths lessons when ordering, comparing, adding and subtracting fractions.
