Science, Sharing and Standing Stones
Year 3 were really lucky to link up with a STEM Ambassador on Thursday afternoon. We were given an inspiring talk linked to our science topic on rocks, by a real geologist. He was impressed by our learning and fact sharing, and we all learnt lots of new facts and vocabulary ourselves.
In history we learnt about Stonehenge this week and had a lot of fun re-creating our own standing stone arrangements with Lego bricks! We also created some beautiful Stonehenge display work in art and design.
Across the school the children have thoroughly enjoyed researching and learning about significant individuals linked to our Black History Month celebrations. 3C loved sharing their learning with the Dormice and Robins classes in assembly.
