It has been a very busy couple of weeks in Year 1!

Last week, we finally completed and sent home our loom boxes displaying the specific crafting techniques that we have been learning in our art lessons.

We also had a very interesting enrichment visit to Christ Church where the Reverend Jonathan answered our RE focus question, ‘What is God’s job?’ from a Christian point of view (please see pic above!).

This week, we started writing animal fact books for our non-fiction English unit, which we will be adding to over the next few weeks.

In our maths lessons, we have continued our unit on place value with a focus on numbers 1-50. In science, we have been (or will be!) learning about herbivores, omnivores and carnivores. We will then include some of this information in our fact books.
