Monsters, Golden books and number lines
Monsters, Golden books and number lines
We have had a very busy week in Year 1. Using the monsters that we created last week, we wrote exciting sentences in our Golden books to describe them with a focus on capital letters, finger spaces, full stops and adjectives. In maths, we have been using tens frames, number lines and part part whole models to subtract. After our very colourful science investigation last week making a ‘Skittles rainbow’, this week we will be carrying out an ‘eggsperiment’ with eggs. Towards the end of this week we will also be starting our new history topic which is all about ‘Significant Explorers’. This also links to Thursday’s homework, which is about researching a significant individual. We will look forward to the children sharing their learning with us in class next week. Have a lovely and restful weekend!
