Great Wall of China, addition and exciting sentences
Great wall of China, addition and exciting sentences
Year 1 have had a fun action packed week at school! This week in Geography we have been learning about China and we made a replica of the Great wall of China using Lego. We started in groups on our tables then worked up to joining all three classes together! We then had a long journey and walked all the way round the wall. In maths we have been learning about one more than and one less than. Then using our part part whole models we learnt about addition sentences. In Carousel we have been busy writing about the snail and the whale and using our five senses to describe some of the scenes. We have managed to write some really exciting sentences with nouns and adjectives. We are still remembering to include capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. Hope you are all looking forward to the last week before half term!
