Wetlands fun!
Year 2 have had a busy two weeks! Our highlight was visiting the Wetlands centre this week. We did some pond dipping where we found pond snails, newts and a leech! Thank you to all the volunteers that also helped on our trip.
In English we finished writing our traditional tales with a twist. We enjoyed sharing these with other classes. We have also been learning about Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale. We thought about why they are significant people and made some comparisons, then wrote a fact page all about Mary Seacole.
In maths, we have been doing some problem solving activities in small groups. We also explored different shape patterns and made up some of our own.
In DT, we have been busy designing and sewing our own hand puppets. We decorated them using buttons, feathers and felt and were all very happy with the end product.
