Lost and Found!
Year 2 have been busy rehearsing for their Christmas shows next week. They have done brilliantly in learning lines, memorising song lyrics, and getting into character! We can't wait for you to see all their hard work next week.
In English, we have been reading 'Lost and Found' by Oliver Jeffers. The children have loved re-imagining the story and have been writing their own versions.
In Maths, we have been balancing addition and subtraction equations. We are about to move on to our topic on shape, and look forward to investigating 2D and 3D shapes.
In PE, we have carried on with folk dancing and have now moved on to English folk dancing. The children have really thrown themselves into learning the steps and dancing as a class together.
In Science, we investigated how waterproof different materials are to find out which would be most suitable for the boy in Lost and Found to use in his boat trip to the South Pole.
