Year 2 have had a wonderful few weeks and have particularly enjoyed writing persuasively about the circus. After reading the book 'Up and Down' by Oliver Jeffers, the children participated in lots of drama and role play about going to the circus. The children produced the most fabulous pieces of writing and used plenty of adverbs to describe the acts.

In maths, we have continued to strengthen our methods for addition and subtraction. We have linked these methods to reasoning problems. We love a challenge in Year 2!

In Science, we have been exploring materials and deciding on the most suitable materials for houses, bags and boats. The children have had a variety of ideas and reasons about the best materials to investigate with.

In PE, we have introduced the children to Welsh dancing. They have enjoyed cooperating together to learn the steps and dance to the music in pairs. Da iawn plant!
