Telling the time and making music!
Year 2 have had a busy and fun start back to the last half -term.
In Maths, we have been learning to tell the time to the nearest 15 and 5 minute intervals. We have also been solving problems involving time. Continuing with our topic of the Victorians, we have been learning about the lives of rich and poor children during those times. We compared pictures, diary entries and video clips and discussed the differences. In Art, we explored Victorian artistic techniques and created beautiful artwork inspired by William Morris. In computing we listened to Gustav Holst's 'The Planets' and discussed how the music made us feel. We then composed our own magnificent music on the computers. We have also been busy practising for our class assemblies, and we are so excited to show them to our families next week!
