Autumn 2 kicks off for Year 6!
In addition to practising their close control skills in football, the pupils in Year 6 have started the new half term by learning about the contribution made by the men and women of the Commonwealth during World War II.
We have been studying specific aspects of the conflict from as many different perspectives as possible by using as many sources as we can so that we do not end up relying on single sources of evidence. In art, we are beginning to design our Mark Rothko inspired paintings and in science we have been reviewing our learning about plant evolution and inheritance after our visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens before half term. We are all looking forward to sharing our learning with you this Friday afternoon.
