This week, all of Year 4 visited the beautiful Hindu Temple in Wimbledon. We learnt so much about the building and religion. For example, the Temple used to be a church up until the early 80s. The children loved seeing all the deities with their fruit offerings and enjoyed the calming incense. The children were all brilliantly behaved and listened well to a talk all about the Temple. Some children and teachers were lucky enough to try on some traditional Hindu clothing. Mrs Barrington-Hays looked fabulous in her very expensive Sari. It was so lovely to compliment the learning we have been doing in the classroom on this wonderful trip.
