Twisted tales!
Year 2 have been working hard over the past two weeks! In maths, we have been learning about position and direction, and loved playing 'Simon says' to put our mathematical language to use. Inspired by Anthony Browne's book 'Me and You', in English we are rewriting the story of the three little pigs with a twist - this time, the wolf is the protagonist! In history, we have loved learning more about the inspiring lives of Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole and sketched their portraits. We also learned about the Victorian pastime of 'Scrapbooking', and used pictures from magazines and our lives to create our own scrapbook collages. In science, we used our knowledge about how animals are adapted to their habitats to create our own animals and what their habitats would be! Has anyone ever heard of an animal with wings and a tail?
