Clocks, camels and a coronation!
Year 2 have had a lovely couple of weeks since the last newsletter. In maths, we have started learning how to read the time to the nearest 15 minutes. The children have loved using their learning to notice the time at different points in the day and tracking the timings of our daily routine.
In English, we have been writing about the pros and cons of zoos. The children have come up with fantastic ideas and written them in a balanced argument, expressing their own opinions at the end.
In science, we have been learning about habitats. Through looking at polar and desert habitats, we've explored how animals are adapted to be able to survive in their habitat. Camels can survive up to 7 months without drinking water!
Last Friday we had a lovely coronation celebration. We had a picnic outside in the afternoon with Reception and year 1, complete with personalised crowns!
