London Eye and Kusama Pumpkins!
Year 2 went on their first trip of the year to the London Eye! It was such a beautifully, sunny and wonderful day. First we took the train from Mortlake Station to London Waterloo. After a quick snack break we lined up to get on the Eye. Some of us were a little scared, but we were brave and made it all the way to the top. From there, we could see Big Ben, the Shard, St. Paul's Cathedral and the Houses of Parliament. After lunch, we even had time to play in the playground. It was a lovely day for all of us! In the classroom, we planned and wrote a recount of our trip. In art, we looked at work by the artist Kusama who loves polka dots and pumpkins. We used clay to make our shapes and use different tools to smooth the clay and create groves on it. We can't wait to paint them next week!
