Fluency Games, Geographical Features and Testing Friction!
This week Year 3 have been practising their understanding of number by playing fluency games with cards in pairs. They had a lot of fun learning games that involve place value, addition and subtraction and multiplication. In geography the children worked in groups to identify human and physical features of the four 'Richmond's Around the World' using Google Earth on our new Chromebooks.
We have been learning about forces and magnets in science and this week have been setting up an investigation to test how far a toy car can travel off a ramp, over a range of different surfaces. 3B managed to carry out the investigation and had a lot of fun making observations and taking measurements!
We also designed the prototypes for our reusable bags in D&T. We are very excited to get making next week!
