We don't normally sit like this!
Year 6 have been learning about the role dialogue plays in conveying character. We have learnt that it is not only the words that the person says, but also how they say it and the actions that accompany the words.
To see how all of these aspects work together, the children acted out a small scene from Holes where they took turns playing Stanley or Mr Sir. We hope that you can guess which roles the children above are portraying!
The teachers are looking forward to reading this work, as there has been a lot of lively discussion about the vocabulary that best captures the repulsive, power-hungry character of Mr Sir.
