Marvellous Medicine, Magnificent Leaf Art and Skeletons in Science
In English this week we have designed, named and written persuasive advertisements for our own marvellous medicines. Warning: some bottles contain pretty rotten ingredients, but all medicines promise to fix grouchy and grumbly grandmas!
In Art and Design this week we have continued to study leaves, but this time paying particular attention to their structure and vein arrangement and capturing this in a line drawing. In science this week, Year 3 have been learning about vertebrates and invertebrates, and have classified animals into three categories: those with endoskeletons, those with exoskeletons and those with hydrostatic skeletons. We also discussed the advantages and disadvantages of having a certain type of skeleton.
